INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this manual is to establish polices and procedures of the University
of Georgia Athletic Association.
It is written to serve as a primary means of communication to inform employees
of approved policies and procedures. It will serve as a guide to enhance employee-employer
relationships. Each employee will be able to use this manual to promote understanding,
consistency, and continuity within the Athletic Association.
All employees are encouraged to recommend revisions to policies and procedures
as they desire or feel necessary. Each recommendation should be submitted in
writing to the Director of Athletics. Any exceptions to policies printed in
this manual can be authorized only by the Director of Athletics.
All employees are encouraged and directed to inform the student-athletes of
all described student services, including the Drug Testing, Education and Counseling
Policy and the Discipline Policy found within the Comprehensive Action Plan
Summary contained herein.
All manuals remain the property of the University of Georgia Athletic Association
and should be returned to the Director of Human Resources upon request or termination
of employment.
It is our hope that this manual will aid employees as they attempt to perform
duties in a manner that will bring credit to the University
of Georgia Athletic Association and the University of Georgia.
